Lorie Barnes
Executive Administrative Assistant
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Lorie has been in the clerical field since 1988. She entered the field as a
student secretary at Shasta College and has worked for many places since then,
culminating in her present position with the Spiritual Enrichment Center.
Lorie’s favorite thing to do is read and she has more than eight bookcases at
home stuffed with books from various genres. She also loves to be with animals
of all kinds, but is partial to cats. Lorie has taken an animal communication
class and thoroughly enjoyed it. She has taken Reiki 1 and hopes to continue
her educational process in this field.
Lorie enjoys listening to all kinds of music and has almost 500 music CDs in
her personal collection. She also enjoys spending time with friends, sometimes
going to a movie or going out to lunch or dinner. Lorie collects angels,
fairies, unicorns and dragons of all sizes, shapes and descriptions. Her
favorite visual artist is Josephine Wall and her favorite color is purple.
Lorie has lived in Shasta County since the summer of 1981 and in Redding since
1989. She shares an apartment with her mother and their 3 kitties and has many
family members living in this area.
Lorie is delighted to be working at the Spiritual Enrichment Center and being
able to work somewhere that so closely mirrors her own spiritual path. She is
a member of the HeartSangha Choir and is taking Science of Mind classes at the
Center.
Sylvia Kunz
Bookkeeper
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Sylvia has over 35 years' experience in the accounting field. She has been
Accounting Manager for a large corporation as well as a business owner. She
received her accounting education from UC Berkley and attended the University
of Redlands, majoring in Business. She also attended the University of
California at Riverside and obtained several certificates in business and
management.
Sylvia is the mother of two beautiful grown daughters and has three
grandchildren: Baylee and Hanna are 8 years old, and Stone just arrived on
July 2007. Sylvia also works at H&R Block during tax season, volunteers at the
Women’s Refuge, and does flower arrangements for weddings and at Christmas.
Sylvia is continuing on her spiritual path at the Spiritual Enrichment Center
by attending many of the educational programs offered.
Sylvia loves music, a good movie and a good book.
